Kim is a very awesome DUI and DWI defence lawyer. i was visiting the dallas area and was involved in an accident on my way to the airport. Myself and the other driver was arrested for DUI. I started looking for a defence attorney and i spoke to every attorney i could find but decided to go with kim.
She didn't charge so much and she also sounded caring to me with the way she spoke and explained how the whole process might go and all possible outcomes but made me aware that the goal is to get a dismissal which all the other attorneys did not do with me. She started by making sure my License was not suspended and i didn't have to be paying surcharges to DPS. She made it happen and my license was not suspended and no surcharge.
She then went to represent me in criminal court. She ALWAYS communicated with me and kept me informed of what was going on. i really could not believe that an attorney would check up on their clients the way she did even when she didn't have to. she kept me calm and asked me to be patient, that i did.
THe court came back and said my BAC was 0.01 and needed to run a drug analysis which came back negative. At that time, they now offered me a deal for obstruction, saying they can calculate my BAC level to the time the accident occured. Kim advised me to refuse the deal and advised me to be patient because the goal is to a dismissl. And to my greatest joy, After going back and forth and even willing to take the care to trail before either a Desk hearing or a Jury hearing, she got it DISMISSED, with no penalty whatsoever. She helped me conquer my fears and kept me calm even when i was losing hope or going crazy over the case.
KIM IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN HER FIELD, you will NEVER be disappionted with her representation. I will recommend her service to anyone who needs representation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Dawna was able to take my case to the Dallas County courthouse and get my DWI dismissed. They had video tape and a blood test as evidence but she was able to get it all suppressed from the judge! She is amazing and I would highly recommend her. I am so thankful I hired her as my attorney.

I was introduced to Dawna Kim July of 2018. After an unfortunate night, I was charged in Dallas County with a DWI. From stories I had heard of people with DWI charges I immediately thought the worse and thought my professional career was over before it started. Immediately I was impressed with her professionalism, compassion, and work ethic when interacting with me as her client. During this process a pandemic hit due to COVID and added even more stress to my life on top of my case. Dawna reassured me she was going to do everything in her power to get me the best possible deal. She constantly reminded me not to worry. All I simply needed to do was keep living my life as normal as possible, and to stay out of trouble in the meantime. There was a point I had thrown in the towel and ready to give up and sign for a misdemeanor DWI, 18 months probation, interlock and move on with my life. My court date was set and she reached out to me and convinced me to hang in there just a little while longer. She fought hard for me and ended up getting my blood work thrown out from the case and struck a deal to drop my DWI charge to Obstruction of highway with no interlock and ONLY 6 months probation with no reporting required! Dawna Kim is a miracle worker. At first, I wasn't going to hire an attorney, but then I decided to hire one. I had no idea who to hire. I picked Dawna because she was the only woman attorney to send me a flyer in the mail. It was one of the best choices I have ever made. She was very easy to work with, and she spelled out everything clearly so I could understand. She got me set up on a payment plan, told me what I needed to do proactively right away, and each week she checked to see if I had a trial date. She asked me to text her every Friday to see how things were going in my case, and she always texted back immediately. I worked with Ms. Kim a few years ago regarding a DWI charge. Obviously, this can be a very stressful time. Ms. Kim was very supportive and makes you feel at ease. She was able to get my license back without suspension and was even able to get my DWI dismissed! Fast forward a few years....Again she was able to get my license back without suspension.....Fingers crossed on the DWI charge. Ms. Kim is very approachable, supportive, and she works hard on your behalf, with a quick response anytime you have questions or if there are any updates on your case! I highly recommend Dawna for defense regarding any criminal case you might be facing. She is smart and experienced. She will keep fighting for you and pull out whatever is in her arsenal to help your case be heard. She is very professional, communicative, and caring. She sticks up for the defendant by trade. Trust her and trust that she will work to help you achieve resolution.
I was involved in a resisting arrest case that resulted from a failure to stop at a stop sign, escalating to a failure to sign a citation to resisting arrest. The incident took place in Sachse, TX so obviously the police officers were not too professional or civil and had a point to prove. After months of waiting for trial, community service, and an anger management course, we were able to get a prosecutor that was willing to listen to the defense side of it. Thanks to Dawna and her experienced insight, they finally dismissed the case.

I had a history of alcoholism. On the night in question, things got very physical between my husband and me. The cops showed up. The end result, I was detained. This was my first time in the judicial system, and I was very scared and very confused.
I was charged with a First-degree felony charge and a Class-A misdemeanor. Originally I was assigned a court appointed attorney who I never met with and given my first court date. I had no idea how to meet my attorney, how long I was going to be in jail, how to post bail. I was scared and clueless.

Attorney Dawna Kim assisted me with a DWI. When I teamed up with her I wanted representation that would keep me from being taken advantage of during sentencing. She informed me of all the possibilities that a case could assume. She represented me through the A.R.L. and won the first battle for me, to retain my licence. She then guided me through a legal system I did not know, always willing to explain each step of the way. In the end the DWI was dismissed for a plea bargain of a lesser charge. I am grateful for Ms. Kim. I just wanted the minimal penalty for the charge and she fought for me so I could be given a second chance thus helping me to believe there are lawyers out there who do care about their clients. Dawna Kim is outstanding---I would rate her higher than "5 stars" if I could! There is no way to be more responsive than Dawna is---each and every time I reached out to her, she was always quick to respond back to me. When she called me on Christmas Day to let me know she was thinking about my daughters case and how she planned to handle the case, I knew I had hired a special and caring attorney. I was brought up to make good decisions every day and this is by far the BEST decision I've ever made! I've never been in trouble with the law before, but we are humans after all. After being bombarded with letters after letters from paralegals and being overwhelmed with the DWI situation, I was recommended to talk to Ms. Dawna Kim. I gave Ms. Dawna a call very late that evening and left her a voice message. I didn't know much about Ms. Dawna, BUT she gained my trust right away because her work ethic truly shined when she responded back to me that same evening (no matter how late of the evening that day was). I remember we were trying to find a DUI/DWI lawyer and I didn't feel comfortable talking to 3 out of the 4 we called, until we contacted Dawna. I've never dealt with a lawyer before.
